한미갤러리 서울에서는 프로젝트 그룹 <10AAA>, <스페이스 바421>와 함께 인터렉티브와 다양한 미디어를 이용하여 작업하는 하석준 작가의 전시 주최함을 기쁘게 생각합니다. 본 전시에서는 세운상가 스페이스_바42에서의 전시의 개념을 발전시키면서 3D 프린팅을 이용한 입체 설치, 그리고 TV모디터를 수행자 처럼 등에 얹은 인물 등을 통해 인간과 예술가의 삶에 대해 고민하는 작가의 작품들을 만날 수 있습니다.

전시는 경제학자 제러미 리프킨의 <한계비용 제로 사회The Zero Marginal Cost Society>의 ‘재화를 추가로 만드는데 들어가는비용이 제로(0)로 달려가고 있다고 한다’는 개념에서 출발합니다. 러프킨은 반세기에 걸친 자본주의의 생명이 사라지며 새로운 패러다임을 맞이하게 되고 우리는 비약적으로 발전하는 기술 네트워크로 인하여 협력적 공유사회를 맞이하게 될것이라는 예견에 주목하였습니다. 작가는 <Readymaker Series No.2>를 통해 예술가와 작품과 경제학적인 상품의 관계로 바라보는 시도를 제시합니다. 본인의 얼굴을 화면에 가득 채우면서 반복하는데 점점 인물의 형상이 가장자리로 갈 수록 희미해집니다. 이 지점에서 작가는 또한 “예술가가 만들어 내는 재화도 이러한 상황을 피하지는 못할 것인가?. 1인 기업인 예술가는 미래의 공유경제사회를 어떻게 준비해야 할까? 아니면 준비할 필요가 없을까?” 등 하나의 경제활동의 주체로 예술가를 바라보면서 여러 현실 적인 고민과 질문을 던지고 있습니다.

This exhibition starts from economist Jeremy Rifkin’s The Zero Marginal Cost Society’s notion : This society has been runnung to Zero for making object addmore.

Rifkin focus on the foresight that the capitalism will be faded out soon and we will receive new paradigm. As the result, we will meet a cooperative society of common ownership due to a development technology network swiftly.

Artist suggests the attempt to look into the relationship between artwork, and economical product through his Readymaker Series No.2.
