Junebum Park Interview in Hunger Magazine November 2014

Junebum Park explores the impact of the invisible hand of societal pressures on individuals and communities. By photographing, and rearranging commercial advertisement and everyday commodities, Park manipulates this hand himself. Junebum Park discusses a more personal limitation, in the restriction of routine, confines of a set societal structure, and expected or forced submission into these roles. Religious, familial, and cultural conflicts are all attended to, and Park places particular consideration in Korea and East Asia.

Park was interviewed by HungerTV following the exhibition of ‘1 Parking’ at the About Town Film Screenings at Ikon Gallery in November 2014.
