Atsuko Nakamura

Atsuko Nakamura attempts to explore the extent to which human beings co-exist with the natural environment, and thus reflect a deep-rooted notion of animism. His incorporate his experiences and memories of place and time into his works. He focuses upon the specificities of materials in order to highlight Nature’s power and vitality, as well as the transient nature of human existence. He wishes to express the meaning of life, in the truest sense, and to point the way to restoring mankind’s relationship with Nature.

Atsuko Nakamura completed his BA in architecture at the Musashino Art University in Tokyo in 2005 before taking part in an Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) between 2006-2009.
