Marina Sancho on ‘Spaces in Transition’, EL IBÉRICO

Hanmi Gallery inaugurated ‘Spaces in Transition’ last week, a photographic exhibition where Spanish artists Alfonso Batalla and Fernando Pérez collaborated with their artworks.

The inaugural exhibition couldn’t be more convenient now that the gallery is in a period of transition and improving installations, although it’s open to the public offering the according schedule of activities related with art.

Showing in central London, the exhibition of 38 photographs focuses on themes of decadence, time and space, by four artists.  The exhibition will last until the 23rd of February and it explores the traces of human beings and the physical results of the passage of time and the space transitions.

These transitions are a game between the real world and the imagination. After seeing the photographs exhibited in the gallery, considering the transition as the action and the effect of changing to another state,  we should necessarily imagine the ‘state before’.

Between the four contemporary artists in the exhibition, we highlight the collaboration of the Spanish artists Alfonso Batalla and Fernando Pérez Fraile who aim to share with the public their perspectives on the themes of time, space and decadence.
